Sagi Sasson is a partner at Herz-Lasham and specializes in Israeli and international taxation. Sagi has extensive experience in managing income tax matters in all their aspects and provides comprehensive advisory services to both corporations and individuals, addressing a wide range of tax considerations across both global and domestic contexts.

 

Sagi focuses on all areas of corporate taxation, in particular mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax due diligence (DD), tax structuring for multinational groups, tax strategy, and ongoing advisory services, as well as value added tax (VAT).

 

In addition, Sagi specializes in governmental incentives and benefits under the Law for the Encouragement of Capital Investments, as well as related tax implications.

 

In his previous role, Sagi served for approximately nine years in senior positions at the Israel Tax Authority, including as a Senior Income Tax Inspector and later as Senior Coordinator of the Corporate Tax Unit at the Tel Aviv Assessing Office 3, a unit which handled many of Israel’s leading high-tech companies in Tel Aviv and across the country. He was also a member of the management team of the Tel Aviv Assessing Office 3.

 

During his tenure at the Israel Tax Authority, Sagi gained extensive experience in managing and supporting complex audit and assessment proceedings, including transfer pricing, the Encouragement of Capital Investments Law, Share-based awards, and tax residency matters.
